Job Description:Role & amp amp Responsibilities& amp nbsp :& amp nbsp Curriculum Development Engage in effective curriculum development and lesson planning in line with the schools philosophy Create teaching-learning aids to support the lesson plans and curriculum Document reflective curriculum feedbacks for continuous improvement in the curriculum plan and teaching strategies Teaching-Learning Processes Ensure appropriate physical and mental preparation for classes. Conduct classes assigned to ensure proper delivery of the curriculum plan and instructional materials as per the schools standards Attend to each child' s developmental needs and put in efforts to develop each individual childs potential Evaluate students' learning strengths and weaknesses, adapt teaching methods accordingly, and provide assistance or attention during and after school hours Plan and coordinate class projects, field trips, visits by guests or other experiential activities and guide students in learning from those activities Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental or health-related problems, learning difficulties and discuss appropriate remedial programs and teaching strategies with the counselor, principal and parents Inculcate good manners, basic personal hygiene, proper eating habits, and social skills among the students. Classroom Management Prepare teaching-learning materials, decorate classroom and bulletin board timely and with quality. Arrange indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate a wide range of teaching-learning activities while maintaining safety Coordinate with the support staff, maids to maintain housekeeping standards of the classroom and the school premises Establish effective rules for behavior in the classroom and guide children sensitively to create a balanced environment of freedom with discipline Resource Management Plan, put in requisitions, procure, store in class, issue, and maintain inventory of classroom equipment, materials, and supplies. Assessment Observe, document and evaluate children' s performance as per schools defined assessment methods Maintain accurate and complete student observation and work records, preparing students portfolios for assessment and sharing purposes Document growth pattern, experiences, stories of the students and share them with parents, principal and for schools display purposes Parent Communication Document and Develop communication materials to share about the schools activities and childrens learning with parents Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their expectations and expectations as a school for children' s growth & amp amp development Meet with parents and guardians on PTM (Parents Teachers Meeting) to discuss their children' s progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development Maintain regular written and verbal communication with the parents & amp amp guardians of the students for ensuring their active involvement in the child' s development Engage the families of children in various ways like inviting family members as experts to classrooms, as volunteers for certain activities, conducting home visits, conducting parent workshops, etc., with approval of the principal School-Wide Responsibilities Provide training and guidance to new joinee and trainee teachers Coordinate various school-wide activities assigned by the principal as per the requirement for smooth functioning of the school operations Professionalism Standards Expected Ensure implementation of all administration policies, rules and regulations falling under her work area Practice punctuality and regularity in attendance Practice effective time management and communication with all concerned Participate in internal and external training programs, seminars and workshops to improve own professional competence Engage in reading, research, sharing and discussions to continuously learn and grow as an effective educator Work collaboratively as a Team player and take initiative towards the mission of providing best education to young children at the school Participate in the various school events, functions, activities as an important member of the organization Practice the highest level of honesty, ethics and values as you are the beholder of morality in front of the children and as the schools key representative to the outside community Be willing to take additional responsibilities and take full responsibility of the assigned tasks
