Job Description:COMPANY OVERVIEW Global Analytics Holdings is a leading fintech company with an intense focus on providing alternative and friction-less credit solutions to under banked customers that do not have adequate access to mainstream banking services. We use world class analytics, software, UX and a deep understanding of data to provide a range of compelling financial services products. We have an established market in the UK operating two brands Lending Stream and Drafty and are testing into the India market with the recent launch of OYE! Loans. Marketing is run out of the UK while development and production facilities are based in Chennai and Delhi, India. Given the increasing profile of Global Analytics and its brands both globally and specifically in India and the UK we are now looking to add a PR individual in Chennai or Delhi to supplement UK based resource. POSITION SUMMARY The PR lead, India sits within the marketing team and works closely with the Senior Manager Marketing Communications in our London office. The purpose of this role is to support the global PR efforts for the organisation and its brands and to lead India specific PR. Led from the UK GA engages in both proactive and reactive PR. On the proactive front, we concentrate on a number of themes where we want to raise the corporate credentials for example responsible lender and world leading analytics. The PR lead, India will lead on a number of these themes: understanding our market position, Identifying PR opportunities, developing / collating appropriate content, and liaising with media/channel owners to push out our message. Such channels could include speaking opportunities, blogs, and social media, as well as more traditional PR channels such as press and radio. From time to time we may need to respond to reactive events. The PR lead, India will need to work at pace, with the wider team to understand what has happened, identify the potential impact, draft communications and engage with channel owners. GA has most of its operations in India, with c. 300 people based in Chennai and Noida. It has also recently entered the local consumer credit market with OYE! loans. These two elements open up opportunities for PR within India. The PR lead, India would lead driving the profile of GA in India, working with the senior team to establish priorities, key themes and drive these through to implementation. CRITICAL BUSINESS ACTIVITIES Lead the development of approach and assets for selected global GA PR themes Collate and curate relevant material for use within social channels to raise the GA profile Create blog posts for GA-owned channels Prepare award entries e.g. consumer lending / fintech / corporate environment Create and implement reactive communications Lead the development of India specific PR strategy and implementation plans Identify and secure media opportunities for GA e.g conference speaking slots, guest editorials/advertorials Represent the company as required COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE Technical Skills and Experience University degree or college diploma in business, marketing or a related field Significant experience in Public relations (PR tech / startup experience a plus) Experience in the wider marketing field Significant experience of working in a matrix organisation, both within functional and wider business matrices Experience of working and leading across locations Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills Best in class skills influencing and relationship skills Competencies Required Structuring tasks: The number of PR channels has exploded with the development of online and social channels as well as the fragmentation of existing media outlets. GA works across three continents. We operate it extremely complex markets which on occasion come under the media and regulatory spotlight. The PR lead, India must be able to make sense of this complex environment, identify their approach and structure tasks to best meet the corporate PR goals. Building relationships: To be successful the PR lead, India will need to quickly build rapport with the senior management team with GA, across geographical boundaries as well as building operational relationships with key individuals including the marketing team, any PR consultants, and HR. They will also need to build relationships with external PR channel owners including journalists, industry spokespeople, awards organisers and consumer champions. They should be able to engage, build rapport and maintain relationships. Driving Success: This role gets things done. It is key to driving the profile and reputation of the organisation and it is imperative that activities are followed through to fruition. The role holder will spot opportunities in the market to highlight the great work and people that are Global analytics and lead activity to secure and make the most of the occasions. Communicating Information: Communicating information is an absolute must for this role given the focus on PR at a global level. The role holder must be very strong in both written and oral English communication and project social confidence. Furthermore, the individual must be able to communicate complex topics to others with ease.
