Job Description:A. Key Responsibilities & Corresponding Tasks I. CURRICULUM PLANNING: 1. Have a clear understanding of the contents to be delivered to the learners and the progression of different concepts across grades. 2. Make detailed lesson plans for the concepts to be delivered in a format prescribed by the program. 3. Have a deep understanding of their learners, their learning styles and their pace of learning. 4. Incorporate different learning methodologies, medium and methods to accommodate children with different learning styles and pace of learners. 5. Provide various entry points to a particular concept to enable Children to understand single concept in different ways. II. TRANSACTING THE CURRICULUM: 1. Encourage genuine interest and curiosity in the subject among the Children through personal passion, love and expertise for the subject 2. Create opportunities to understand concepts through hands on experiences and provide linkages to real life situations 3. Provide ample opportunities to construct the understanding of concepts than simply delivering it and ensuring that the learners are confident at explaining and rationalizing the concepts acquired. 4. Give scope to the learners to record the contents in the notebook and to reinforce it through some home assignments regularly as per the stipulated schedule. 5. Reinforce the acquired concepts through regular worksheets and stimulate thinking about the concepts beyond the planned curricular goads through fun sheets/projects/assignments etc. 6. Ensure that all written work (class work/ homework) in done in an organized manner (title, heading, date and index are duly maintained). 7. Ensure that the assigned work is completed by each student in the class and are submitted on time. 8. Correct the assignment within one week of submission and give a detailed feedback to the learner for him/her to understand and act upon it. Take a follow up of the learners response to the previous feedback. 9. Understand and identify the learners who need additional support in acquisition of the concepts. Provide attention and support to the learners through appropriate remedial assignments. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT: 1. Provide a stimulating, trusting and a stress free learning environment to the Child. 2. Ensure that No Child is left behind and every child is included in the learning process. Address the differential needs of the learners without creating any bias (differentiation) in the group. 3. Provide ample opportunities for peer learning through group tasks. 4. Encourage the learners to openly share and question their understanding of the concept. FEEDBACK AND ASSESSMENTS: 1. Assess the learner continuously for regularity of work to understand the level of sincerity and responsibility that the learner exhibits. 2. Provide continuous and comprehensive feedback to the learner, for the progress shown in learning a concept. 3. Assess the learners understanding of the concept acquired through appropriate Assessment Tools and record the progress of the learner consistently through Rubrics. 4. Provide concrete suggestions to enable the learner to string them and improve the performance of the learner. Take frequent follow ups to ensure consistency in the efforts put towards improvement. DOCUMENTATION: 1. Update the class log book (class work home work) daily. 2. Fill up the day wise planner for every class taught month wise. 3. Maintain a record of the Assignment Submissions and Reinforcements DISCIPLINE: 1. Mark the attendance of the learner in her/his class on an attendance register daily. 2. Attendance to be for each period. Only for co-curricular. B. Key Result Areas (Metrics used to review the performance) 1. Effectiveness of childrens learning 2. Quality of classroom transactions 3. Rigor of documentation and curriculum processes 4. Teacher satisfaction & engagement scores 5. Teacher attrition rates 6. Parent satisfaction levels 7. Efficiency of administrative processes 8. Quality and accuracy of budgets
